Event Listings – Displaying Staff NAME/TITLE

On my Event Listings page, I need to show the name of the Event Host ( I assume pulling from the Event Staff?!?), basically showing the “Teacher” who is teaching the class.

Taking it a step further, I would like to link the Teacher Name to an individual Profile Page for the Staff member.

HELP!?!?!

Seriously, I know this is probably really easy- but I’m stumped.

I should have also noted that I’ve an hour messing with the codes from here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#staff

I guess I’m just not getting the right sequence?

SOO frustrated.

Hello,

The [ESPRESSO_STAFF] shortcode creates a “bio box” within an individual event detailing the staff members name, contact details etc.

To get even close to what I think you are trying to do you could use

 [ESPRESSO_STAFF show_image = false show_staff_titles = false
 show_staff_details = false show_image = false show_description = false]

Which would show a box with the staff names attached to that event in the event description, and then you would need to link that to a page or post called Staff (in WordPress highlight the text and press the insert/edit link button)

In that post/page you would need to list all the staff members. This cant be done with one shortcode you would have to repeat for every staff member

[ESPRESSO_STAFF id="1"]
[ESPRESSO_STAFF id="2"]
[ESPRESSO_STAFF id="3"]
etc

You can’t however, link the staff details to the overall [EVENT_LIST] shortcode, at least not without changing some of the code behind it.
