I have events that are Friday 6:00pm – 9:00pm and Saturday 9:00am – 4:00pm Sunday 9:00am – 12:00pm
I created 3 events to show times correctly,etc but the widget now shows all three events in the list.
I modified the Event_List to only show the first event using categories.
How can I modify the widget code to only show certain categories of events?

Hi,
The upcoming event widget has a setting to show only from a certain category, so if you go to Appearance > Widget menu and expand the widget in the widget area, you will see the different settings available. screenshot http://d.pr/i/RWWR

I understand, thank you, however I want to display 2 or 3 different categories, not just one.

Hi Gary,
There are a few options for this. One would be to create one category for events that you want to appear in the widget, then set the widget to display said category.
The other option would be two rewrite the query and the widget options to allow for multiple category selections. This would require some PHP/MySQL skills and is outside the scope of support.
