Hi: I cannot get my event list page to show anything at all: http://bloomingtalents.com/temp/ All I get is this message: I have tried creating new page etc, but this is all I get. I desperately need a event page…. please help. Thanks Suzanna |
Hi Suzanna, Have you created any events within Event Espresso? Can you first try flushing your permalinks, go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks. Make no changes and just click to save the settings. Then can you create a single test event (call it ‘Test’) and publish it. Then at the top under the event title you’ll see a ‘View Event’ button. Click that and post here the full URL that loads please. |

Thanks, but I already two events created, and i have tried flushing my permalinks. |
Can you edit one of those 2 events, grab the permalink from here – http://take.ms/8nNGS Then post that here please? |
|
|
not sure what you mean? |

Its ok, I managed to find a link to a single event on your site. Can you create a new page, call it ‘Event List’. Within that page add [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] and publish the page, like this – http://take.ms/1MFZv |

ok. so here is the page |

ah…new problem, when I press [return to event list] |
Can I take a look at the admin please? You /events/ slug has not changes to /event-list-temp/ which if you follow my instructions above and created a new page should not be happening, so I need to take a look and see how this is set up. You can send temporary login details using this form: |

also, now the ticket selector is not showing on my single event pages. sigh… |
Hi Suzanna, I replied to your email as this sounds like it is a conflict with another plugin on your site. Please try those steps and share feedback in the email. Thanks — |

Hi Lorenzo: I have tried and tried, for two weeks now, disabling plugins, and trying to get this to work, but to no avail! Every time I press the [back to event list] button, I see this message: what should I do now? |
Hi Suz, I understand what is happening. The URLs are different. Please use this filter to change the URL. It can be added to your child theme’s functions.php file or through a site specific plugin (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/): https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/e51ac13a3d9fd345ad40#file-change_event_list_url-php Change this: http://yoursite.com/calendar …to this: http://bloomingtalents.com/event-list/ — |

I can advise doing a quick check to see if there’s a theme conflict. Can you temporarily switch to another WordPress theme to see if the issues still happen while using another theme? |
|
Update: I checked a bit more into this and the trouble you’re seeing with the event list page is being caused by the “Simply Exclude” plugin. You can deactivate that plugin and you’ll find that the event list page will display as expected. I suspect that the active WordPress theme is preventing the Ticket Selector from displaying on the single event page. Can you try switching to the Circumference Lite theme to see if that helps? |
