I created a custom template for Events List page ‘archive-espresso_events.php’. It works fine when it is enabled but when i remove it, the events list page breaks? I am confused as to why it is not falling back to its default template?
I thought maybe wordpress cached the page so I deletied all event expresso files through event espresso (Event Espresso > Maintenance > Reset/Delete data) and then removed the plugin and all its files and reinstalled it but gives the same blank page.
Somebody please help? The reason why I wish to fall back to the original template is because the “Register Now” (<?php espresso_event_reg_button(); ?>) button does not work on the custom template, it takes me to a blank page with the name of the event in the url.
Can you outline the steps you took to set up the custom template? Along with that, can you post any potentially relevant code modifications into a gist or pastebin and post a link to them here? Thanks!
It’s ok, I had put something in the functions.php that was interfering with the event details page. Thank you anyway for the help. 🙂
