Our event list shortcode recently stopped working properly and we don’t know why: [EVENT_LIST limit=5 show_expired=false category_identifier=aareg] This was previously displaying the correct classes. It should be, for today for example, displaying Muscle Conditioning and Zumba. I don’t know. http://www.clubsatcrp.com/group-fitness/ Let me know your thoughts. Most recent versions of WP and EE. Hi, Have you allocated the categories to those events? Are the event and registration dates correct? |
All of the events are in the proper category (they’re both in two categories) and the dates should be fine on all of them, they’re opening/closing properly |
I should have noticed earlier Limit = 5. 5 classes are being displayed already. So you could expand that number or remove the limit. You could also look at sorting the list so the most recent start date comes first https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#event-list |
So doing this and a few variations on this has no effect on shortcode output: [EVENT_LIST limit=5 show_expired=false category_identifier=aareg order_by=date(start_date)] I’m not sure why it’s only showing the Mat Pilates classes. This above shortcode This is what the shortcode was doing previously (I just captured this from our staging server, containing a snapshot of our site from a few weeks ago): Renaming templates didn’t work… tried disabling some plugins and the usual things. I’m at a loss. |

Hi, So lets clarify this, you want the shortcode to display the 5 events from X category that are upcoming? If so then that shortcode should work. Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this? If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ NOTE: login details need to be Admin level. |
Sure, sent. |
And correct, it’s supposed to be behaving as you described. |

Hi, The reason that the Mat Pilates is coming up is that several of the February events are still open, registration doesn’t end until 8th April, as such the shortcode is still seeing them as viable events to list. You could use show_recurrence=false, but that would take them all out which would be a little pointless. I would modify the recurring event so that the events do not share the same registration period so that older events close once their registration period has ended rather than remaining open for the full recurring series registration period. |
