Event List as Grid on Event Slug page not showing

Today, I downloaded and installed the most recent version of EE4. I have added tickets and gotten things close to how I need them. However, I am having issues with listing events. On the page with shortcode, there is no problem. But when I select that page to be the Event Slug, only a single event per page is listed.

I would ignore the “events” page altogether if it weren’t for the fact that the shopping cart button “Return to Events List” links to that page!

How do I get the Event Slug page to show an event list like this page: ? That page has the GRID shortcode on it but when I set “vde-admission” as the Event Slug, the shortcode does not appear to work as it resorts to a single event per page like so:

Hmm, looks like the href tags didn’t work.
Pages referenced are:

Hi there,

But when I select that page to be the Event Slug, only a single event per page is listed.

That archive uses your site’s posts per per page setting and can be altered, however…

I would ignore the “events” page altogether if it weren’t for the fact that the shopping cart button “Return to Events List” links to that page!

The link is wrapped in a filter to allow you to change it to a different page:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-multiple-event-registration-add-on/#change-list-url

Add that code to a Custom Functions Plugin on your site, change the URL that is returned to be wherever you want it to go on your site EE will use that.

Changing the default event list to output as a grid will need a custom archive template for your theme but if all you want to do is link to a different page the above is the easiest option.

Thank you, Tony. Works as needed now.
Do I need to keep the default event list page active or can I set it to draft?

There is no event list ‘page’, its an archive of EE events and you can’t disable it, just not use it.

If you have a page called ‘events’ that’s not what is actually being displayed on the /events/ so setting that page draft won’t do anything.
