EE4, We are in open registration on tocift.org and having an issue with the link we have provided on the invoice/receipt for our clients to get back to their registration page. Please advise asap. Screenshot – error message Just now, I trashed the previous registration and ran another test to see what would occur. and got this message. I did select the tickets and view my cart, which looked fine. Upon proceeding to registration, this time I got this error. I don’t know what’s up, but I’m in serious trouble if we can’t get this working soon. Tony was working with me last week on some things and has login info for tocift.org Thanks, Laura |

I don’t know if this could have made any kind of difference, but the Conference Pro Theme was updated manually before I set up this years event. Imagely is not updating through WordPress at this time. (Hate that theme and will be using Divi for next year’s event) In questioning you guy on Divi usage and changing the theme, you had mentioned that the Theme should not affect the EE4 portion of the site, so I’m pretty sure their updating the theme would not affect EE4, but thought I would mention it to be sure. Thanks, Laura |
Hi Laura, May I ask what’s the link you’ve provided on the invoice? Is that using a shortcode? One thing to keep in mind is if you’re testing different registrations, you’ll need to clear your session between tests. You can use the browser’s “private browsing” or “incognito mode” to start a new session. |

I have included a link on the invoice to get back to the registration form so people can change their registrant’s names before the event. I did not clear my session. I will try that now to see what happens. Thanks for your help on this issue Josh!! |
Also, do you have login info? If needed I can send it to you. |
Ok. I was able to get everything to work correctly this time. Not sure what caused the customer’s issue, but it appears to be fine. He probably didn’t fill out the form per our detailed instructions. I am going to test the other events to make sure they are working as expected as well. Thank you for your prompt response Josh! Laura |

Sorry. One last question. Is there a way to delete transactions? I am creating some test transactions and I would prefer they were gone from the system when I’m done just like their registrations. Thanks, Laura |
Ok. Our “Table Sponsor” event does still seem to have an issue, but it may be normal behavior. Table Sponsorship is an “approval required” event registration. Would our client not have access to the registration page through a provided link until approval occurs? Thanks, Laura |
When I say “client” I meant registrant. |
I’m still wondering exactly what link you’re providing. Is that a shortcode you’ve added to the invoice?
You delete any payments within the transaction, then go to Event Espresso > Registrations and trash the test registrations. Then go to Event Espresso > Registrations > Trash and permanently delete the registrations. |

I am using the following:
Sorry, I will not include the html |
[PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_FRONTEND_EDIT_REG_LINK] |
We are using some php to place filler text in the Primary Reg “First Name” and “Last Name” fields that will hold the place of the registrants with unique names. You will probably have to see what I’m talking about to understand. Here is a screenshot of the reg page. Each Angler/guest or worker has an individual number associated with the grey filler text that, if the field is left blank, will hold the person’s spot until the Sponsor fills them in at a later date. This is the only way we could come up with to make sure Sponsors would be able to hold their spots right up until a week before the event. |
I wouldn’t think the php would cause a problem getting back to the form, as it does create a unique identity in the registration. |
Here is a screenshot of the registrations. |
They would have access even if the approval hasn’t happened yet. You’ll need to make sure that the Primary registrant for the transaction doesn’t get trashed or deleted if any changes need to be made to the transaction. The primary registrant will be the first ticket selected. In other words if there are two events added to the cart, the primary registrant will be registered with the first event added to the cart. |

Ah. This may be what happened. He was a Team reg last year and this year they are moving to Table Sponsor. Perhaps he deleted the team reg and then added the Table. Would this cause the problem? The Table Sponsorship would be the only registration in the cart at that point. |
I think I misunderstood. After reading your answer again, I’m thinking that you mean deleting the primary registrant from the back end of the system. I believe this would have been the case to a degree. When I checked to see his registrations in the back end, there were no registrations at all from his entry. I don’t know how he even got a receipt. How is that possible? |
That’d be possible if someone trashed or trashed and deleted the registration from the admin side after the initial registration was placed. |
