Event is set up in Event Espresso, Shortcode is generated and inserted into webpage for the Event. When #tickets is selected and REGISTER button is pressed, error message comes back saying “Nothing in Your Event Queue. You must select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process.” |
Hi there, This usually means you are loading a old custom ticket selector template file from your theme or a custom function plugin and the template needs to be updated to match the current format. Can you post a link to the page in question so I can take a look? |

Per request, here is a link to the Event Registration Page: https://cbha-acha.ca/index.php/event/cbha-acha-talks-leading-in-the-long-run-do-ceos-matter/ |

OK, that’s a different error than what I was expected. The nothing in your event queue error is almost exclusively caused by caching, the other possibility being with sessions. Are you using a caching plugin on the site? Have you recently change hosting providers? OR package within our current host? Any server-side caching enabled? |
In answer to your questions, we have not changed host server provider. As well, we are unable to find any cache services on the server or the domain |
Ok, so something has changed between when this worked and now, the updates we’ve pushed would not cause a nothing in your event issue and if they did we would see a lot more reports of this. So between when the events worked and now, what has changed on the server? — Side note – are you not able to reply directly within this thread? I’m wondering if there is an issue with replies causing you to create a new topic for each reply. |
Sorry about that. I cannot find any changes on the server since the last time it worked on this wordpress site. I note that it is still working on other wordpress sites, so it is unique to this website. I tried deactivating each plugin one-by-one, but the problem persisted. |
No apology needed 🙂 I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t an issue causing you to create new threads.
Has PHP been updated on the server? Which version of PHP is the site currently running? |
Site is running on PHP Version 7.4 |
EE does indeed create a session, but it also immediately calls session_write_close() when doing so so the above is unlikely to be from EE itself. I had a deeper looker on your site and noticed your running EE4 Decaf, is that a recent change? May I as why you are running decaf when you have access to the full version of Event Espresso? |
