Event is listed in the wrong category and can't be moved

Using Event Espresso Version 5.0.15.p, we have an event that’s listed under the wrong category and can’t figure out how to get it back to the correct category. We tried putting it in different categories. But, it just stays there in the wrong place. I’m sure you’ve seen this before. Could you please tell us how to fix it.
