Hi there,
Thanks for the Mandrill tip by the way folks, its all coming together to do what we want now.
But I need to add the event(s) that the customer is registering for to their details in MailChimp. Is that currently possible or do you know of anyone that has successfully managed it?
Then we almost have a sweet mini CRM with a little help from a MailChimp Addin for Outlook.

Hi,
Right now I believe that the Mailchimp add on only passes over the name and email to mailchimp.
The add on could be modified to pass this data along though.

That would make it pretty damn perfect.
Could you point me in the right direction for the modification or do you think my developer will figure that out pretty easily?

Hi,
I havent looked at it in detail, so its merely an assumption but if it can pass name and email it should be able to pass other data as well.
The file in question is the mailchimp.controler.class.php
