I am trying to get my app working so that I can test how it functions but it keeps telling me that my url is wrong. Is it supposed to be just the domain name that has WordPress on it? Thats what I have my licenses key linked to.

Hi Josh,

Just to confirm do you have the JSON API Add-on installed and activated?

Which version of the app are you using? You’ll want the Event Espresso HD app.

The URL should be where your WP files are installed. For most users this is root. so http://www.domain.com, however if WP is installed in a sub-folder (lets say wp), you’ll want to use http://www.domain.com/wp/

Do I have to pay extra for that extension?

I just downloaded the first one that came up on the google play store. Does the HD app cost extra?

Apologies, I assumed you were using EE3.

There is no cost to download the mobile apps however EE4 is not currently compatible with the Event Espresso mobile ticketing apps. If you need to use the mobile app you would need to use EE3.

We do have EE4 Ticketing and a Barcode Scanner Add-ons available for although the mobile apps will not scan these tickets.

That was not documented very well when I purchased this plugin. Is that something that is coming soon for E4?

A ticket scanning app for EE4 has been discussed but is currently not in development.

The ticketing app shows as compatible with EE3 here:

https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-ticketing/

Is there somewhere else on the site that contradict this as I would like to update the to make it clear?

It is possible to use the current EE4 barcode add-on with a bluetooth scanner and a mobile device to scan the tickets that way, would that work?

Maybe I just did not realize that EE3 and EE4 were so different.

We are not wanting to scan tickets but rather just check them in when they get to the event.

Hi,

If you want to manually check users in, go to Registrations > Event Check-In tab. Then select the event from the Dropdown box and click Filter. From there you can select attendees and check them in.

If you have a lot of attendees, it might be worth using the Ticketing Addon for EE4 and a Bar Code scanner as this will check them in for you much more quickly.
