I’ve searched your support site as well as Google for help on this, but have come up dry.
My client has a business that requires registration for classes (using Event Espresso), and also the sale of hard goods (using Shopp plugin for WordPress).
When both tools are installed, Shopp does not function properly at all. I have not yet tested a complete transaction with Event Espresso.
I’m suspicious that these two systems are in conflict when it comes to starting a session. One has it already started and the other gets confused when it cannot start a session. I don’t know if that’s a contributing factor for sure, but I suspect it could be.
Has anyone got advice on setting up my site to successfully run both systems in tangent? My client is desperate to launch their website right away, so please let me know if you can lend a hand.
EE only starts a session when one is not already started. EE then creates an EE specific variable within the session global variable. When EE “resets” it’s session, it only affects the EE specific variable within the session global variable. This is in accordance with best practices that enable plugins to work side by side without conflicting.
