I saw Lorenzo’s response and just wanted to verify that we should still manually issue a refund via the Authorize.net (or the Payment processor) after hitting Apply Refund in EE4.

The Apply Refund button will update the registration transaction with the amount that you set the refund for. This does not currently process the refund in Authorizenet. You would need to apply the refund in Event Espresso and Authorizenet so that the numbers match up.
This is correct, refunds need to be processed via the payment gateway (e.g. Authorize.net).
