I installed the plugin Event Espresso – Promotions and i have this error :

Can you tell us if you did update your plugin to .12 to? also, what happen after you installed promotion? did the error go away after some time or its still there. Can you tell me the page where you see that message?

I always got this error. Yes i update to .12. The installation went well and i can add a new promotions. The error appears under the settings tab.

Can you send us another Screenshot, the image you sent has no error message. If you can also paste here the error message and error in your log. that would be helpful too.

Hi there,
This is an issue with the translations in use on that site, PHP8 does not allow for missing placeholders within translated strings. PHP7 and below had no problem with them.
Are you using custom translation files at all?
LocoTranslate?
Files within /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/?
I’ve just tested my site with the latest translations we have available and didn’t run into any issues, so I’m guessing you site has older translation files saved which will need to be updated/fixed.

Hello,
No I don’t use translation on the site !
I even tried to install just the plugins “Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v5.0.11.p” and “Promotions and Discount Codes v1.0.16.p” locally on a new WordPress but I still have the same error :

Your site is in French, EE is coded in English.
Your screenshots show EE in French, so there are translations for EE within the site.

Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General.
What is the site language set to?

indeed, we change the language from French to English, we no longer have the error.
How can i no longer have the error in French?

Place that file within /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/
Does it work then?
