Event Espresso Plugin: "An errror has occured: First Name is a required value"

If someone know how to resolve this issue and let me know that would be great,

Customers have been trying to register for an event on the WordPress website by entering their details such as first name, last name and email which are mandatory fields but they get an error message “An errror has occured: First Name is a required value” We tried to upgrade all plugins, checked the code if it is loading two versions of jquery many other solutions we found online but no joy.It looks to me as if this is a php code issue with registration forms written in the php as the jquery sends input to the server ( first name,Last name and Email data).Also, if you completely disable JS the form is empty after clicking register button. Anyone else has been experiencing something similar recently? Please help us!
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot Josh! We resolved the issue! We upgraded the theme Enfold with the latest update which became available yesterday. We also edited incorrect Java Script by modifying the main.min.js file in the home directory and changed any instance of [href=#] to [href=”#”]. Once we cleared the browser cache, we were able to register. This forum is very helpfull and I love it! Kind Regards, Igg
