Event Espresso Mobile App Logins

We have a membership only calendar. I downloaded the mobile app for android because we want to be able to check in our members using the mobile app. The problem that I have is that the app seems to only recognize the login credentials that we also use to log in to our WordPress site. We want our mentor members to be able to check people in without having access to the back end of our website. Is it possible to create a separate login for the app to access our esspresso calendar that does not also access the website?
