I’m having issues getting connected to the EE4 Mobile App. We are running latest WordPress and latest EE versions. When I log into the app with an admin account (verified EE pemissions), I get the following error: Sorry, you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions: ee_read_events, ee_read_others_events, ee_read_private_events. I verified that the API appears to be returning valid responses to URL/wp-json/ee/v4.8.36. Thanks in advance for the assistance! |

I should note specific versions… EE 5.0.17.p Thanks! |

Hi Eric, So generally, issues with the app showing missing capabilities means either the authentication header is being blocked, or something is preventing the login request from working. The easiest way for me to check that is to try logging in and capture the request, can you send over temp login details so I can take a look? You can do so using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ — Just to note some common issues people run into when logging in (may or not be related at all). The ‘Website URL’ field should be your domain, with nothing after. For example if your site is at domain.com then that would be all you enter, NOT domain.com/wp-admin/ or domain.com/wp-json/{something}. The app then works out our the ‘correct’ URL to use from their using headers on the request. The credentials used for the app login are for that specific site and NOT your EventEspresso.com login credentials (we don’t have any access to the site data, your login credentials for here do not work on the app as it connects directly to the site and NOT through us). I don’t think either applies to your situation but I add them to any app issue threads now just to be sure. |

Interestingly enough, when I created a new login for you, and then tested it from the app, it worked properly. The role of the member I created as a test is the same as the role of the user I’m trying to log in with… Perhaps there’s some re-provisioning of permissions that needs to happen for that user account? The role of “Administrator” is selected for both users, so I’m a bit perplexed. Thanks! |

Shouldn’t do, if that account can access the EE through /wp-admin/ it means it has the caps. Compare the passwords between those accounts, any specifcal characters in the ‘broken’ one that aren’t in the other? |

Well, I’m an idiot. ๐ Apparently I entered the wrong password too many times and fail2ban blocked my IP. I had to CLI unblock the IP and then I was able to log in properly. Thanks! |

Lol That’s never happened to me, nope, not ever… eve… ev… OK ok maybe once ๐ Either way, I’m glad you figured it out and it’s now working. Any further issues just let us know. |
