Hi my website went down with a 500 error and i disabled all plugins to enable access again and went through the process of reactivating the plugins one by one to see if that was the problem and event espresso is the one making the site crash could someone take a look to see why please. Its currently deactivated on the website so that people can still browse the content. i think it is all up to date. thanks
There was a file named .server-conf.php, which is not supposed to be there, and that was what caused the breakage.
I removed the file and Event Espresso activates without issue now.
It may be a good idea to ask your host to check the server’s access logs to figure out how that file got added there, because that wasn’t a server configuration file and it did not belong there.
