I have tried to reinstall and it tells me that the link has expired

Which link are you referring to?

If you go to your account page: https://eventespresso.com/users/jfields1974/

Then in the download section click Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v5.0.3.p, is that what is giving you the above error?
