With EE active, I can’t upload plugins, media and it stops the Rules from working in the VFB Pro Contact Forms. I’ve tried deactivating all the other plugins. But, it’s not till I deactivate EE in order to make these things work properly again.
VERY FRUSTRATING!!
The issue here is the server is now using PHP8 and Event Espresso is not fully compatible with PHP8 just yet.
I’ve applied a patch to the version of the EE4 WP User integration add-on (which is what was causing the error) to prevent the error from being thrown, however I recommend you switch the version of PHP in use on the site back down to PHP7 for the time being (the latest version of PHP7 your host has installed should work fine).
Your host will usually have a section for you to set the version in use within your control panel but if not you can create a ticket with them to switch the version for you.
