Hi! We’re trying to use EE3 with Beaver Builder. We can get widget to display, but using the shortcode on a page doesn’t work. I see there are workarounds for EE4 – are there any for EE3? We cannot use EE4 because we need recurring events.

thanks!

Hi,

May I ask which shortcode, which page, and can you explain a bit more about what “doesn’t work” means? For example if the shortcode is the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode, and it’s on a specific page, is there an error message on that page?

Hi,

I see two problems in the source: 1) No scripts from the Calendar add-on and 2) The version of jQuery isn’t the version of jQuery that’s bundled with WordPress. So even if item one is resolved, item 2 might prevent the calendar from loading because the calendar add-on uses the jQuery Calendar plugin.

If you start with a new regular WordPress page that doesn’t use a Beaver Builder layout, does the calendar display?

Right, so I do not think you’ll be able to use a themer layout on the same page where you have the calendar shortcode. Unless you maybe start with a regular layout and place the calendar shortcode on the page, then later switch to a themer layout for that page.
