Event Email confirmations displaying the wrong event info

I used the global message templates for my newly created Event. When I send myself a test email, the email I get is displaying the details for the wrong event. I was thought that these templates automatically pull from whatever event they are associated with… ??

Hi,

Test emails only send test data, or did you test it by registering for the event from the front end?

Hi Dean,
I tested from the edit mode of the template. I finally figured it out when I published the event and then registered using an invoice. I got the confirmation email with the correct data.
