Event displaying inactive on live view, even though it is active

I get the following message at the bottom of my event post:
This event has expired or is no longer available.

The event IS active and if the user ignores this remark, they can register. BUT, I do not want this to be displayed as it confuses possible registrants and do not understand why it is being displayed when the event is “OPEN” and active.

The URL:
http://www.menscenterlosangeles.com/events/the-27th-annual-sacred-path-mens-fall-retreat-2/

Any clues?

Hi Stephen,

It looks like you have created a Post or Page and added a shortcode to the event. Can you doublecheck that the shortcode is pointing to the correct event ID? If needed please copy and paste the shortcode here.

Yes – I have created a Post for the event and in the EE template page for Event Registration I have the shortcode [EVENT_ESPRESSO].

The event post is just the layout, with no shortcodes what-so-ever.

I also have a Page set up for ‘Register for Event’ and it has the shortcode [SINGLEEVENT single_event_id=”the-27th-annual-sacred-path-mens-fall-retreat-1-53d970a394363″]

So maybe there is a conflict there?

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this? I’d like to see the page structure itself.

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated.

Hi,

The message is coming from the single-espresso_event.php which has been added to your child theme.

If memory servers, this shouldn’t be needed to display the event posts. Please can you rename the file to something like __single-espresso_event.php and check your event post afterwards (you may need to edit the evenmt and update the post that way in order to see changes).

Hi Dean,

Looks like that may have done the trick. I’ll let you know once we get feedback.

Thanks,
