The registration button would not work on one of our event pages. I managed to narrow it down to the fact that include: was in the description.

If I change the colon to a dash (or any other character) it works, or if I change the word include to includes it works. But include: being in the description field for the event breaks the registration button.

Hi Scott,

What happened when you clicked the registration button?

Adding ‘include:’ to the event description has no effect on my test sites. It is possible ‘include:’ is trigging some form of security setup on your host, can you check the server error log and see if that shows any further information?

When you click on the registration button it reloads the event page with ?ee=process_ticket_selections appended to the url.

Nothing in the server error log. Firebug gives “NetworkError: 403 Forbidden – http://.. …/?ee=process_ticket_selections”

Can I ask who your webhost is please?

We have noticed some hosts are blocking base64 encoded urls/objects, which EE uses with the ticket selector. This seems similar although the fact that it only happens with ‘include:’ would suggest that phrase is triggering some rule set that is blocking the request.

Normally you would see this within the error log, but you may need to contact your host to confirm this.

Hi Scott,

I ran some testing on this using variations of include but did not see this issue:

Could you follow up with your web host to see if a security setting is triggering this behavior?
