Event Confirmations From Months Ago Being Sent or Resent

Good morning,

We updated our WordPress version, and may have also upgraded the Event Espresso version a few days ago. Since then clients have been getting e-mail confirmations for events that were six or seven months ago, and some past events as recent as two weeks ago. I am not sure whether the event confirmations were not sent when the client initially registered, and perhaps were stored in ab outbound e-mail queue that was never sent until the upgrade a few days ago. Or whether Event Espresso is doubling up on the Event Confirmation E-mails and resending all the Event Confirmations all over again.

It is causing quite an issue with the clients who keep emailing us enquiring why we are sending them Event Confirmations for events that occurred months ago.

How do we understand what is occurring, and stop the Event Confirmations for old events ?

The Event Espresso plugin is version Version 5.0.31.p

What is the best way to prune our registrations for earlier events we probably should remove our historical events, and registrations that occurred over a year ago ?
