I am using the Persuasion theme from mysitemyway.com and am using the “squeezepage” template. My formatting look great right up until I add an event espresso shortcode, then it strips away my paragraph formatting. Why would that happen?

The first part of the page is formatted as multiple paragraphs but the minute I put the EE shortcode for the registration in compacts to one paragraph.

Could you go ahead and add it to the page? Please be sure that no html is wrapped around the shortcode (e.g. p tags, strong tags).

It has been in there. I just went in and added <p> around each individual paragraph which seems to have accomplished my goal. But I didn’t need the p tags until I added the EE shortcode.

Hi,
There are some errors on this page (javascript and some random text at the bottom of the page /* ]]> */ ).
Barring those, it might be that the theme/template is modifying how content is filtered, which is a common thing to do but unfortunately is is also a very common thing to get wrong.
Without being able to see the theme itself (code wise) it’s hard to pinpoint but you could check the functions.php to see if there is any code that looks similar (but not always exactly) to the following:
remove_filter( ‘the_content’, ‘wpautop’ );
add_filter( ‘the_content’, ‘wpautop’ , 99 );
