Event Category ID Limitation?

Is there anyway to get around the apparent 45 character limit of the event category id attribute? We are trying to match them up to existing Shopp product slugs, some of which are longer than 45 characters. We’d prefer not to have to change the permalinks (and slugs) in Shopp or do redirects. Thanks.

Hello,

*The only way to change this is to edit the events_category_detail table in the database and change the length of the category_identifier row to something other than 45.
