My events are courses with an instructor and a small number of attendees. Sometimes (usually because of too few registrants) an event has to be cancelled. If I select all registrants and cancel their registrations, the instructor gets n similar messages, and I still have to cancel the event. Could event cancellation please trigger a message that would automatically send a standard message to all registrants with a copy (or a variant message) to the instructor?
I’m disappointed that you don’t take your clients’ reasonable requests seriously. You have Default Message Templates that include a message to the Event Admin and a different one to each registrant. Why couldn’t you add one called “Cancel Event” and let the user customise it?
The reason is because currently there isn’t an even status level context for the message types. They are currently limited to Registration and Payment contexts.
