Hi guys

Is there a way of firing off an email to admin when an event reaches capacity?

Hi,

You could create a custom function that fires off on an event hook that checks the event capacity and if full email the admin.

I would look at either the Process Payment Hooks or the Registration Process Hooks, it depends on how your settings are set.
