I help manage event registration for a 1 day annual conference and we are trying to determine which event registration WordPress add-on to go with. We have been looking at your demo site and are wondering how or if it is possible to set up the following:

1. We want different types of registration like Full day with lunch, full day without lunch, half day with lunch, half day without, and keynote only. When a participant choose full day with lunch we want them to be able to then register for their choice of 3 workshops from a list that ranges from 20-27 different workshops.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Sam

Hi Sam,

It depends on how you want this to work.

With Event Espresso you could do the above using multiple ticket options within a single event, you would need a ticket option for each registration option:

Full day with lunch
Full day without lunch
Half day with lunch
Half day without lunch
Keynote only

Then you would need a ticket for each individual workshop (all 27 of them)

Then set the ‘Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event’ option to 4. The user then selects from one of the 4 options above and then the workshops they want to attend.

Note that Event Espresso does not support conditional ticket selections, for example you can’t set the workshops to only be available if the user selects full day with lunch, or prevent a user from registering onto tickets that would class within times etc.

Would that work?

Have you signed up to Test Drive Event Espresso 4?
