Help! I upgrade this am and now the page where [espresso_events] is located is not working. I can’t figure out what is going on. Can you help? Here is the page: http://www.addictionmotors.com/wrench-it-yourself-university/motorcycle-maintenence-class-registration/

I am also having the same issue with categories. Pages with [EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”sat”] say that “No are events available…”. I went and double checked to make sure that the events all had to correct category assigned and I’m still having this issue.

Hey Guys,

Can you check your page setting in General Settings of Event Espresso and make sure the shortcodes are assigned to the correct pages? Let us know if they are anything different than what they should be.

I double checked and they are correct. I tried simply updating my events as was recommended here but each update failed and I only received errors:

> Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
> /home/bcs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/espresso-recurring/functions/re_functions.php on line 239
>
> Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in
> /home/bcs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/includes/event-management/update_event.php

Patrick,

It looks like we might have a bug in the recurring events addon. I am looking into right now. Can you tell me what kind of recurring event this is? Is it a weekly recurring event? That is where I am noticing the bug.

Patrick Haley

Yes they are weekly events.

SIGH And now all of my tours are now saying that they are FREE. Is there anyway to keep this fixed? I’m so frustrated from having spent 24 hours on this now trying to update and fix this for my site. Please help.

aanderson is it a recurring event?

aanderson

February 1, 2013 at 6:24 pm

OMG thanks. Yeah they are recurring events but I don’t have that plugin that allows them to automatically recur. I have to manually duplicate and create it. Now it seems like sometimes it will say free and then sometimes it doesn’t.

See this is the schedule page: http://www.newyorkbroadwaytours.com/schedule/

Have you tried updating the price of each event?

aanderson

February 1, 2013 at 6:39 pm

The price should be set with 3 separate prices. I don’t know what you mean by updating the price? Nothing should change. Right?

aanderson

There’s something weird at the top of the event page: Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in D:\Hosting\6097501\html\newyorkbroadwaytours\wp-includes\post.php on line 2996

I see what’s happening with the prices now. Try reversing the order of the prices or removing the price from the event_list_display.php template file.

how do i get to that file and do that?

So just go into the file and remove the word price?

aanderson

February 1, 2013 at 7:15 pm

I figured it out. OK. I removed the code inside event_list_display and its finally working:

event_cost != ‘0.00’ ) { ?>
<p id="p_event_price-” class=”event_price”> event_cost; ?>

            <p id="p_event_price-" class="event_price">

Thanks.

I thought I was going to cry. I’ve been trying to get this site back up and running since last night at this time. Literally 24 hours have gone by working on this with my site down and then back up. SIGH. Thanks for the support.

And mine’s still not working and on top of that I’m getting that nasty license error again. I’m just gearing up for a BIG round of classes and may need to use another tool. This is not good.

Jay, I see your events are listed on this page (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/DhLqnnvv):
http://www.addictionmotors.com/wrench-it-yourself-university/event-registration/

If you want your events listed on this page: http://www.addictionmotors.com/wrench-it-yourself-university/motorcycle-maintenence-class-registration/

You will need to change to that page in your Event Espresso > General Settings page.

Beware though, if you change that page, you need to make sure you redirect the old address url.

If you just want to list events on the “class” page, but keep the old “registration” page, you can use the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode instead.

ok, i see what’s going on – thanks! – now can you fix my license issue? I haven’t been able to do the updates

Jay,

There was a space in the license key text field:
http://www.screencast.com/t/DO1Kjaz7

I removed it and was able to run the update on your site.

I also created a ticket for the developers to fix this issue.

I just tried updating this one, and it seemed to work fine:

Your connection may have been reset as it was saving. Not sure.

I am signing off now. I gotta get some sleep :/

Guys, I am getting no results since updating to the latest version —
http://absecllc.com/?page_id=116

This should list my events, as it did previously, now I only see the marker…..

Nothing has changed on my end besides updating to the latest version (two updates since the 1st.)
