Hi Guys,

I hope someone can see where I may have gone wrong with adding –
[ESPRESSO_TABLE max_days=”30″ qty=”3″ category_id=”gracecard”]

to – http://metroarts.com.au/test-table/

I’ve done it before on another clients site, but for some reason the table just won’t show on this site, even tried raw tags. I’ve changed the template for 5 columns, I’ve added the custom files, got the client to upgrade to a business license, and can’t seem to get any configuration of the table to appear.

Any ideas?
Let me know if you want the FTP access to view the templates.

Thanks.

Hi Ben,

The ESPRESSO_TABLE shortcode refers to a template from the Custom Files addon. This addon is a collection of files that needs to be added into the uploads/espresso directory. Looking at your site, it isn’t there.

If you are trying to use the Custom Templates Addon, that’s different (it’s a plugin) and uses a different shortcode.

Thanks Dean,

You can see here that the files are uploaded – http://metroarts.com.au/test-table/

I’m just trying to achieve a table of a specific category of events for different posts for the user to view all dates, times and book appropriately from the Book link.

Let me know if you would like FTP access?

Thanks.

Hi Dean,

Can I send the FTP details/admin access to you?

Thanks
Ben

Hi,

It looks right, but it isn’t showing in the source. Your site http://take.ms/BDaZl , and a default test site running Custom Files http://take.ms/FjkcB

I’m wondering if it is a file permissions issue?

Sure, by all means send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

FTP details now sent.

Thanks.

Hi,

Cheers for that.

Something odd is occurring as the FTP files are not matching up with the WordPress files. For example http://take.ms/HkS5q in WP you have a few EE related plugins installed but they are not in the plugins folder.

Is it possible that the FTP details are for a different site? That would explain why I can see the Custom Files files in FTP but not on the actual site.

Thanks Dean,

Great spot! After more back and forth with a client, I’ve finally managed to get into the correct FTP location. Hurray!

The files are now working. Can you point me in the right direction of which template I should be using to show a list of events that belong to a specific category please?
I basically want each event to have its own category, and then the shortcode will just need the category id changing on each new page about the theater performance.

I’ve currently got these 2 test codes in use for example, and looking for a hybrid of the 2. – http://metroarts.com.au/test-table/
[EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=”espresso_table” event_category_id=”the-dokboki-box-1397579492” ]
[ESPRESSO_TABLE qty=”5″ category_id=”the-dokboki-box-1397579492″]

So no category option at the top, venue included, and add to cart option added.

Thanks.

Hi Ben,

Good to know it was just a little mix up!

Well, it sounds to me like the Custom Template tbale (the first on your example page) fits your needs, barring the filter dropdown.

So, some CSS can get rid of that:

.category-filter { display:none; }

and with the Custom Template templates, they all use the EVENT_LIST shortcode in the background, so any parameter for EVENT_LIST will work with those templates, including the category ones.
