A error message page shows up with “Espresso_people cannot load” when trying to edit a profile. I’ve downloaded lastest version of people addon (1.0.6.p) and reinstalled it again, but issue continues. |
Hi there, Is that the full error shown? If you enable WP_DEBUG on the site does it show any errors on the same page? |
Hi there, Does the issue continue if you temporarily deactivate all plugins other than Event Espresso 4 core and the people add-on? |
I get this error when WP_DEBUG is enabled: force_ssl_login is obsolete since version 4.4.0. Uses force_ssl_admin() instead. in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 3831 |
And this: Strict Standards: Declaration of EEH_Venue_View_Child::venue_name() should be compatible with EEH_Venue_View::venue_name($link_to = ‘details’, $VNU_ID = 0) in /var/www/conoceris/wp-content/themes/januas-child/childThemeClasses.php on line 8 |
I can see now this error affects all parts of the EE plugin, including not only people, but also pricing, venues, ….. |
Those last two errors are related to your active WP theme. So if the issue continues if you temporarily deactivate all plugins other than Event Espresso 4 core and the people add-on, then you could also try temporarily switching to the parent theme or one of the twenty* themes to rule out a theme conflict. |

Asa a matter of fact the issue is due to Visual Composer plugin (v5.2). I deactivate the plugin and everything in EE works back again. I just use VC for a static page, not even for interacting with an EE event or similar. Do you know of any conflict between VC and EE? |
I’m only now aware of the conflict you report here. So you happen to know if Visual Composer have a way to start an issue report on Github? |
Nope, don’t have idea |
You could try the latest version of their plugin (5.4.2) They may have fixed the underlying issue since 5.2. |
