Espresso events List is pulling in wrong info

When I use the shortcode [ESPRESSO EVENTS] to go to the event list from my registration cart page:

http://houstonmonart.com/events/

I get a long list of OTHER pages that have NOTHING to do with Event Espresso. They are PAGES ( not POSTS ) that I have recently added to my site.

What is the problem here and how can I fix it?

That’s usually a problem caused either by the theme or another plugin. You can fix by going to Event Espresso > Events > Templates and you change what’s set for “Event Slug”. You can change that setting to something like classes and then save.

By the way – my info was OFF – they are POSTS.

Did what you said, but I still get a list of all these POSTS I’ve recently made and no evidence of EE Events till way, way down the pagination …

Clarification – they are PAGES, just checked. The query is not filtering correctly. It makes no difference if I make a page called Classes. EE never goes to it. It goes to its own loop and grabs too much information…

If you preview another theme from within the admin and view the same page does the same happen then?

For example if you go Appearance -> Themes -> Twentyfourteen -> Preview and then view the classess output do you see other posts?

Or you may need to use a plugin such as Theme Test Drive to view the theme fully and test using that.
