Error when sending manual invoices

Hello, we just recently started adding people manually when they call by phone. Once we add them we wanted to use the “send invoice” feature. We have not been able to successfully complete these transactions.

It will send the invoice, the get their link which provides the payment option (our gateway being Moneris) and then when they hit the button to complete the payment the first time we are getting “could not find customer ID”. So when we look at the record and re-save it just to make sure it is all correct we are getting the error “System or data problem. Please try again” at the end of the payment process.

Is this a gateway issue? Is there a proper process to adding people manually and sending invoices? I also tested it myself by trying to pay for something I added my self to. Same result. We are also using EE 3.1.35-ALPHA

Hi Brian,

First off, is there a reason you are on an Alpha version of Event Espresso? It is possible that this is the issue. Unless it is an unusual situation Alpha versions are not recommended for live sites.

Is it possible for you to install the latest release version (3.1.34.1) and test with that version?

That is the version Seth Shoultes sent us, as part of the custom development EE did for us.

Hi Dean,
As part of the Custom Dev we were supplied the Alpha version. Can you confirm that this custom dev should have been updated to a non alpha file?

Hi,

I thought it might be something like that, I will need to speak to Seth regarding it as I am not sure why the alpha was used, most probably a feature yet to be released.

I sent over a very early version of alpha, because I added the functionality to view “scan date”. This functionality is now included 3.1.35-beta, which should be a full release soon (maybe next week). Can you please install 3.1.35-beta to see if the problem is fixed in that version?
