Hello, I found in another forum a function to change the default ‘Return to Events List’ buttons’ link and inserted the code but am now getting an error only on the single event pages. Any clue how to fix?

Here is the code I added to the Child theme functions:
code

Here is the error I’m seeing on the single event pages:

Here is the forum I pulled the code:

Hi,

Could you go to your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin) –> Event Espresso –> General Settings and save changes?

Does that resolve the config messaging?

I tried saving on the General EE setting and I’m getting the same error.

Hello,

I noticed that if I tried a registration from another page, then I was able to start registration checkout.

Could you deactivate Event Espresso along with its add-ons and then reactivate it and then go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Critical Pages and save changes?

Hi Lorenzo, yes, I’m able to complete the registration process from the event lists but am still getting the same error when going to a single event page even after deactivating/reactivating the plugins and saving the critical page.

My launch is scheduled for Friday so any other suggestions are appreciated!

Hi there,

What’s actually causing the error you’re seeing is the Event Slug setting in Event Espresso > Events > Templates was set to event. The problem with setting that option to event is that’s the reserved singular name for the Espresso Event post type. You can change the slug setting to anything else that’s not also reserved, then save the options page, and that will fix things.
