Hi there! I have a problem when adding a new event. Completely clean my start and stop time input fields have 63 duplications. The same thing with the event price section. has anyone had the same problem? I’ve tried deactivation everything but it still doesn’t work.

What I must say is that I’m using an old version and I can’t update because there is too much custom code for displaying the fields that doesn’t seem to work if I upgrade.

any ideas??

I think i’m talking about the “event_espresso_time_editor” function in the event_functions.php file.

this is how it looks:

multiple input fields. and it just goes on. 63 times..

Multiple fields at the price section.

The reason this is happening goes back to using an old version of Event Espresso with a newer version of WordPress. The two aren’t 100% compatible.

You can remove the errant start/stop dates by following the instructions in this older topic:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/add-event-displays-57-start-times-how-to-get-rid-of-them/#post-157228

Ideally the custom code should be moved out into its own templates and the software should be updated to the current version of Event Espresso 3. If you decide to stay on the older version you’ll need to make sure to manually clear out the “event_id” = 0 rows in the database from time to time.

That worked for me, but the client says it’s still the same for them. Is there any other way to prevent this from happening?

You prevent those from happening again by updating to the current version of Event Espresso 3. If you don’t update the software, you’ll need to go back into the database and remove those event_id = 0 rows again, then again.
