Hi

We are using Event Espresso 3.1.37. Ran into a SQL error while posting an event today.

WordPress database error: []
INSERT INTO hmec_events_prices (event_id, event_cost, surcharge, surcharge_type, price_type, member_price, member_price_type) VALUES (0, ’50’, ‘0.00’, ‘flat_rate’, ‘Your (age < 35)’, ’50’, ‘Members Admission’)

I see that the error may be related to “event_id” being “0”, but wondering why this is happening.

Hi,

Not seen this one before.

Is the event ID actually 0?

Is this happening with any new event added?

Have you updated EE recently? If so, from what version?

Have you added/updated anything recently? Perhaps try disabling all other plugins to see if there’s a potential conflict.

EE has been recently upgraded and I continue to see the issue of not being able to see old events on the events overview page. This was a problem with our older version and was hoping will go away with upgrade.

Here is what happened with the SQL error…

Entered a new event – missed entering pricing details and received the following error:

WordPress database error: []
INSERT INTO hmec_events_prices (event_id, event_cost, surcharge, surcharge_type, price_type, member_price, member_price_type) VALUES (0, ‘0’, ‘0.00’, ‘flat_rate’, ‘General Admission’, ‘0’, ‘Members Admission’)

I hit the browser’s back button and entered pricing information and then received the following error:
WordPress database error: []
INSERT INTO hmec_events_prices (event_id, event_cost, surcharge, surcharge_type, price_type, member_price, member_price_type) VALUES (0, ’50’, ‘0.00’, ‘flat_rate’, ‘Your (age < 35)’, ’50’, ‘Members Admission’)

Then I went ahead and started a new event with all the details and this time it went thru without a problem. On the Event Overview page, this is the only event that shows up now but none of the past events show up.

I will test a little more today and see how it goes. Thanks.

Hi Srinivas, would you happen to be on WP 4.2.2? If so, could you update to the latest version of Event Espresso 3?

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/

This will be newer than the version that you shared in your reply.

Thanks

Lorenzo

And we are on WordPress 4.2.2 and EE Version 3.1.37.3.P. I believe this is the recent version of EE 3.

Hi,

Do you see the same thing with only Event Espresso 3 running?

Lorenzo: I am not sure I understand your question.

So far the new event is working fine as expected. I am going ahead and marking this as resolved.
