Error messages for customers

Several of our most recent customers registered, paid and got an error message, but their bank shows it going through. They are listed as incomplete on the dashboard. We have not upgraded to EE4. We need to retain the ability to use coupon codes. This has only recently started happening. Any clue how we can fix this? Thank you!

The school is saying they’re getting the event registration notification but no notification of payment comes through. Please help!

Hi,

What version of Event Espresso are you running and did any of the customers share the error messages with you?

What payment method(s) are you using?

You can go to each record in the attendee record screen and record their payment. Then set the status to completed.

I’m running Version 3.1.36.4. I can’t update to Version 4 yet. We rely heavily on our coupon codes.

I’ve emailed a customer and hope to get the exact error message from her soon. All I know is that they’re getting messages saying that their payment isn’t going through.

We know we can record their payments manually and reset the status. The problem is, people are seeing the error and then trying to re-register, time and time again. The second problem is that we aren’t getting any notification of payment coming through even though it is. This means we have to bother our accountant each time we have a question about whether or not a payment came through. We can’t really sustain that workflow.

Any help you can offer is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Lorenzo! I just updated to 3.1.36.5 but am still getting the error. We are using credit cards and checks. I’d love to attach a screenshot but don’t see the option here.

On the “thank you” page, a line pops up that says, “There was an error processing your transaction!”

What is the payment gateway that is being used? You can check by going to the payment methods page for Event Espresso in the WordPress dashboard.

Please try regenerating your transaction key and updating that in the Event Espresso payment methods screen:
