Hello, out of nowhere my events have started sending out error messages before people can pay. This is causing a ton of confusion and frustration for my registrants. Can someone please help? The error is as follows – after the registration questions are answered, and before payment, this comes up:

Hi,
I am assuming that you are using WordPress 3.5+ and Event Espresso 3.1.29+
If so, please head over to the Template Settings page and click the button there to rename your uploads/espresso directory.
This will force the plugin to use the default templates, instead of any modified or outdated files.

Hello, I don’t see a button to rename any directory in the template settings area. I am using 3.1.30.

I went into the FTP directory and deleted the old “templates” folder as was my interpretation of a support email. I now get a registration confirmation page, but all my events are “price: free” even though I never selected a free setting.

Hi James,
I logged in and took a look and I could see that all the add-ons have not been updated in quite a while. In order for Event Espresso to function as expected, all the add-ons need to be up to date. In this specific case, the older Members/wp-user integration add-on and the groupon add-on have pricing functions that were updated along with Event Espresso 3.1.28. The older pricing functions in the old add-ons are not compatible with versions of Event Espresso since 3.1.28.P.
You’ll need to either deactivate the older add-ons installed on your system or update them to the latest versions.

Hello, thanks for the reply. How do you update a specific add-on? They don’t seem to update automatically with newer versions the way the other plug-ins do. Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Add on plugins after a certain version should have the auto updates.
If they are quite old you can manually update them, by downloading them from your Event Espresso account page and using these instructions http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation
