ERROR: Failed to charge the card

Hello,

I don’t believe I have made any changes to my installation of EE 3, and now I am getting Stripe errors (Failed to charge the card) and I am unable to charge any cards. I have reset my API keys and this has not helped.

Thoughts?

Hi Peter,

Try reaching out to Stripe support. They should be able to share feedback on why you are not able to currently process card payments.

Hi Peter,

I did have another question as you mentioned that you tried rolling over the credentials.

Are you currently using those credentials for any other projects (e.g. an online store)?

Alright, go ahead and follow up with Stripe support and they should be able to share feedback on why the charges are failing.

In the interim, is there an alternative payment gateway that you could enable like PayPal Standard?

That way, you can still accept payments.

Stripe isn’t providing much information…..are we sure this isn’t an EE issue?

I haven’t seen any other reports of an issue with Stripe for Event Espresso 3.

When was the last payment successfully processed?
