I’m testing registration using PayPal Pro/sandbox and I keep receiving the following error:

Thank You
Attention: Your transaction was declined for the following reason(s):
Error Code: 10002
Short Message: Security error
Short Message: Security header is not valid
Severity Code: Error

Based on what I’ve read on here, this means that I need an SSL certificate, and the page needs to be forced SSL.

I have an SSL certificate and my pages are set to force SSL. The protocol is https:// on all of my Event Espresso pages.

Please help, thanks!

Hi Gabriele,

One thing to check is whether these are PayPal Pro API sandbox credentials. You can get API credentials in sandbox by going to “API Credentials” from the PayPal Sandbox menu.

This is how I am currently getting the API credentials:

Is the above link for the credentials to use when it goes live only?

That’s correct. You’ll need to get a PayPal sandbox account set up in order to use the PayPal sandbox:

https://developer.paypal.com
