Error at final Payment submission

I am receiving this error once registrant enters payment information:
An error has occurred: No response from Paypal Pro
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Payment_Options-_process_payment_status – 2516

On back end – Creid_Card and PayPal Express are my only two activated methods. If I edit either I get this error:

There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

This has worked flawlessly for years. No site changes or plugin updates have occured today. These errors started about 2 hours ago. Our phones have been ringing nonstop as no one can register and make payment.

Webmaster fixed issue. Our server, the dns service was down. Restart and now works.
