Ok, so to confirm, the users are trying to log in on the registration checkout page but getting the above error?
If not can you provide the steps they are taking to see the above error, please?

Hi Tony – It appears in this situation that the user is already logged into the site, and is going to register, then receives that error message to login.

HI Tony – Actually hold that thought, registration is on a site that has Yoast. Let me check with my Marketing team on this.

It appears in this situation that the user is already logged into the site, and is going to register, then receives that error message to login.
If the user is already logged in then they shouldn’t see the login prompt at all.
It sounds like something is interfering with wp_get_current_user() and EE can’t pull the current user.
Is this a WP MultiSite install?
I assume this was working previously? If so, what is the difference between then and now? Any new plugins?
