After entring the URL Endpoint, name and password, in the Event Espresso iPhone App, I got a message that said :
“XML-RPC services are disabled on this site. An admin user can enable them at wp-admin/options-writing.php”
How do I fix this ?
If I change writing permissions, does it affect the security or put my site at risk ?
As for the security aspect, I can point you to this information from a discussion at stackexchange. You may decide to only enable the xml-rpc feature at the times when you are using the mobile app, and disable it at other times. The advice given in the stack exchange article about locking down the admin with SSL and the login lockdown plugin is solid advice.
