I upgraded our wp site to EE4 about 4 months ago. I have integrated Mijireh with EE to help us process orders. We are experiencing issues with emails being sent properly. Can you please provide me with any insight on how EE sends the emails. What mail servers do they use? Currently, in my settings tab on wp I have activated the mailchimp setup. Does your emails use my mailchimp setup to fire the emails or a built in wp email smtp config?
Event Espresso uses whatever is set up to send emails from your WordPress site. MailChimp’s Mandrill service could be an option for sending email, if that’s what you mean by MailChimp.
Here’s a few troubleshooting items to check: If you go to test an email from one of the email Message template editors, do you receive the test? If so, it may help to go to Event Espresso > Messages > Message Settings and set the the option for emails to be sent on the same request.
If not, can you verify whether *other* emails (like a WordPress password reset email) get sent from your site?
It’s important to discern whether the emails are actually not getting sent, or if they’re actually getting sent, but not received. If you find that they’re getting sent, can you check to see whether the emails are getting trapped in the spam folder?
In most cases, setting up a third party service to deliver email (like Mandrill) will resolve email delivery issues.
