I ran into this problem, where emails are not being added to the mailchimp list of subscribers. I have followed the instructions, the event shows the lists available from mailchimp, and I have selected one, added a new registration and… zip, nada, added to mailchimp list.
Oh, I also forgot to mention that all emails with the link to print comes with the name WORDPRESS as the sender. How do I change that to my Company Name?
Mailchimp – by default when a user signs up they are emailed by Mailchimp asking them to confirm that they want to be added to your list. If they do not accept that then they will not get added.
Also if you are adding users manually in the dashboard, that process is never triggered so you would need to manually add them to your mailchimp list.
Email from line: go to the Event Espresso General Settings and make sure “Use fancy email headers?” is set to Yes.
