Emails aren't being sent

Confirmation emails aren’t being sent to people signing up for events, notification emails aren’t being sent to the administration, and when I click on the re-send email in the registrations tab, those emails aren’t being sent either. I’ve confirmed that I’m using the correct email address. I also turned on the debug log, but I’m not seeing any logs in the location specified. Please advise.

Hi Jaqueline,

Have you tested to see if general emails are being sent? You can use a plugin like this to test it https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/

Thanks for your quick response. I just tried the plug-in and emails aren’t being sent through that either, so I guess it’s a GoDaddy hosting issue.

Hi,

No problem, and yes it could well be the hosting. You could also try a plugin such as WP Mail SMTP https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ or a service such as Mandrill https://mandrill.com/ (premium but has a free option).
