Email verification not working

When a student registers it requires them to put their email and then re enter it. Even it it is re entered different than the first email it still allows them to proceed forward which creates a unusable email record.

EE3 has been deprecated for a while now and is considered our legacy product, it no longer receives updates unless security related and EE4 covers most of its use cases. We do not currently have any plans to re-write EE3 to be PHP8 compatible as EE4 is the product we will be focusing on moving forward.

May we know what holding you back from upgrading?

Hello, I would love to upgrade, by my skills are limited. To be honest this process of communication is painfull to say the least. Is there not a chat, phone or other method to help me upgrade other than just sending me a msg?

Hello how long does the migration take, whats the process for you to do it? Is there a charge?

How long will the students be unable to sign up and pay during the process?

We cannot give a certain time estimate because we know that estimate will be incorrect (+/-). However, the migration is designed to be relatively short (30 minutes or less), and your events would be unavailable for just a short period of time if everything goes according to plan.

You can follow that guide, or if you are nervous about the migration you can buy a support token and we can work through it for you. There is always a possibility of finding conflicts with other plugins, servers timing out while processing data, PHP conflicts when using new versions of software, etc. It’s all manageable but can be involved sometimes.

We always recommend updating sooner than later so that the updates are less significant with each step. And as always, best practice is to backup your data, and test on a staging site before migrating a live site.
