Hi all

I don’t know why, but for ome reason no emails are going out either to me or the customer when they book a session online.

I have tested mail is working on my website and it says that it is. And I do receive the test email.

The event in question is free. Does that make a difference.

I welcome any advice.

Hi there,

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message Activity.

Do you see your message listed there?

If so what colour status bar do they have? (The coloured bar to the left of each message).

No, you don’t need to do them every time. They should work through the queue using WP_CRON and the fact that they don’t usually indicate an issue with WP_CRON itself, or your host has disabled it.

In a new tab on your browser, open up Dashboard -> Tools -> Site Health

Leave that open for at least 30 seconds to allow it to run through all of its tests.

Do you see anything above ‘scheduled events’ or ‘loopback requests’ showing up on that page?

I have got it working but so far, I haven’t received any emails in my inbox or spam folders

If you are manually processing the emails that’s a good way to confirm its working but not really a solution as you’ll end up having to always trigger the emails.

There is an option to switch EE to instantly send emails rather than working through a ‘queue system’ if you’d like to switch to that, or we can work through troubleshooting to find out what is happening?

The option is in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings.

Change ‘Generate and send message on’ to ‘On same request’.
